TEXT Hebrews 11:1-40 (I’ll try, Travis!)
Whatever else you might say about faith… it’s very clear that it matters. “Faith” surfaces 40 times in the letter to the Hebrews. 28 times in this chapter alone. It’s what THEY needed in that day. And it’s what WE need desperately in our day – It allows us to persevere – to live in a way that pleases God – and to make an impact in our world. Faith is odd. It’s not a commodity. It has no existence outside the person who exercises it. On the other hand, it TOTALLY TRANSFOMRS the person in whom it resides. Faith isn’t OBEDIENCE, though it leads to obedience. It’s not DOCTIRNE though it permeates doctrine. It’s SO IMPORTANT in Scripture – that the NT calls us… “BELIEVERS” (people who have faith). Your faith can GROW… or it can SHRINK. It’s DYNAMIC! It can be WORKED OUT and it can ATROPHY. And it can THRIVE and it can DIE!
This chapter is the pivotal point in Hebrews. There’s not a single command in this entire chapter. But… MAKE NO MISTAKE… the point is to CHALLENGE you to LIVE BOLDY by faith… in the days God gives us. Now having said that, WHAT IS FAITH? Well let’s clear a little rubble away. I want to identify some ideas of what faith ISN’T. 1) Blind insistence in the irrational. You hear, “The blind leap of faith.” You don’t think… you just act. Some say a true scientist could never be a person of faith because science is FACTS. And facts are always at odds with faith. So faith to them is “Believing what I know isn’t true.” Like the tooth fairy. THAT’S NOT FAITH! Faith is not the point where you turn your brain OFF! You’ll see… today… people exercising faith are thinking MORE not LESS – acting on MOUNTAINS of iron-clad evidence not half-baked ideas. 2) Anything religious. Some describe a very religious person, “a person of faith.” “He’s a Catholic, Mormon, Baptist, Jewish, Muslim, Buddhist and therefore that makes them a person of faith! THAT’S NOT FAITH EITHER! Hebrews sketches it as something much more specific! In fact you can… BE RELIGIOUS… and MISS FAITH altogether! OR… you might be the LAST PERSON IN THE WORLD anyone would suspect as religious… and you might EXERCISE… POWERFUL faith! 3) Doctrinal beliefs. Some people say that you have faith if you confess the right statements. SOUND DOCTRINE really is important! But merely assenting to a set of convictions is not faith! In fact one of the points of the chapter is “If you THINK that you have faith… but it doesn’t show up anywhere in your life… then whatever you have… ISN’T FAITH… no matter WHAT YOU BELIEVE!” Lastly, it’s twisting God’s arm by 4) Believing without doubting. In some Christian circles, faith has come to mean that SOMEHOW if you believe HARD enough… and rid your mind of doubt… that God will do something for you. “If I only believe hard enough, God will do something for me”. But throughout THIS chapter… THE REVERSE is true! It’s NOT… WE have faith and therefore GOD DOES… It’s WE have faith IN GOD and therefore WE DO… WE LIVE DIFFERENTLY… WE CHANGE… WE TAKE ACTION!
So if those are the wrong ideas… what is the right idea? Well the writer tells you in verse 1. 1Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. Now technically that’s not a definition as much as it is a description. He’s not saying, “Let me give you Webster’s definition of faith.” He’s saying, “If you SAW faith… what would it look like?” Well it would look like this! Well, it’s a RESPONSE based on a CONVICTION! It’s being “SURE OF”. In other words, faith express itself in… “assurance”… in “conviction”. There’s a CERTAINTY. And notice the focus of that assurance… it’s “THINGS HOPED FOR”. In other words… Faith manifests in actions stemming from being DEAD CERTAIN… of something that’s coming… that has not yet come… and therefore now is out of sight.
So this is the working definition: “Faith is absolute certainty in the unseen and acting consistently in light of it.” As Christians we’re convinced about certain things in the PAST… ALSO… connected to events in the PAST… are DEEP CONVICTIONS about the FUTURE… AND TEATHERED BETWEEN the PAST and the FUTURE… is a certainty of what’s coming… though the reality of it is out of sight… and believing it SO POWERFULLY… it affects MY CHOICES… how I THINK… IT REGULATES MY DESIRES… HOW I LIVE… … we behave distinctively in light of it. THAT’S FAITH!
So How important is this faith? It’s VITAL! Critical! 2This is what the ancients were commended for. In other words, God “commends” this response… 1) it PLEASES God. That idea recurs again and again through this chapter! When God commends people… he does so for our response of FAITH. When God looks at people… he doesn’t say, “WOW! What a great guy! Did you see how good he is! He kept 6 out of 10 commands!” No… He says, “Look! THIS ONE… BELIEVED me!” In fact all of the exploits and the miracles and heroic deeds… are really beside the point. Because behind all those things the people did… BEHIND IT… is this MOTIVATING TRUST in God…
Okay, so, it pleases God… and 2) it shapes how we see everything! 3By faith we (you and me) understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible. This is Genesis 1, page 1 in the bible. And from the very first page in the very first statement, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth” because we weren’t there… we’re faced with a choice to believe or not! Did He or didn’t He? Is there a God or not? And it says more than “things were created”… v.3 says “formed at God’s command”! That means “designed with purpose!” So NOW …He not only EXISTS… and everything that EXISTS owes its existence to God… But it’s also all designed with PURPOSE! Including US! So the journey of faith begins when you consider you were designed …with MEANING… DEEPLY INVESTED… at the Hand of God Himself! So Genesis 1:1 is a huge FORK in the road. And both directions lead to WILDLY DIFFERENT ends! One road is a quest to INVENT purpose… The other is a quest to DISCOVER it. It’s the substructure to the whole Christian worldview. And THAT FAITH really shapes… how you see everything!
<No text slides from this point on. Please follow along> So… where does this faith show up in our lives? (Mach 10 with my hair on fire…). So let’s start with Abraham. The first thing that He did was that 1) he moved. 8By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going. I don’t know how God told him to go. I mean, did he speak in a voice? Did he show up? I don’t know! It doesn’t say! But Abraham was ABSOLUTELY CONVINCED that God spoke to Him. But until he arrived in Canaan… God didn’t let him know where he was going! “Where are we going God?” Just follow me. “How long we gonna go?” Just follow me. “Am I coming back?” Bring all your stuff. Nothing was nailed down! He hadn’t signed docs! He hadn’t seen pictures of the property! He JUST RESPONDED TO GOD! He walked away from what was familiar… and SAFE… and followed God’s leading somewhere else. #2) he stayed. You mean staying actually evidence of faith? Absolutely! 9By faith he made his home in the promised land like a stranger in a foreign country; he lived in tents, as did Isaac and Jacob, who were heirs with him of the same promise. 10For he was looking forward to the city with foundations, whose architect (designer) and builder (constructer) is God. God promised them the land but they PERSONALLY never took possession of it. It REMAINED a promise they CHERISHED… but never EXPERIENCED…! Meanwhile… they lived as tourists… migrants. WHY!!!? They COULD HAVE gone back to UR or to HARAN… but they DIDN’T! Because they SAW THE UNSEEN IN THEIR minds eye! A CITY! A PLACE! A home for them… a home that GOD WOULD DESIGN and BUILD… PERSONALLY! (C28)
This is a quintessential cornerstone! Believing unshakably like Abraham that God has something better for us… a place… He Himself has designed! An everlasting home… We then ACT IN FAITH like Abraham… “I can stay… and remain… and not get too attached… after all… This is not my home! I’m just passing through!” (say that!) I’m telling you… you start believing that today… and gain a DEEP CONVICTION about it… you’ll live WILDLY DIFFERENT!
So he moved… he stayed… and 3) he waited! 11By faith Abraham, even though he was past age—and Sarah herself was barren—was enabled to become a father because he[a]considered him faithful who had made the promise. 12And so from this one man, and he as good as dead, came descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as countless as the sand on the seashore. The thing that you don’t see when you read this is HOW LONG HE WAITED for even the FIRST INKLING of the promise to come true! Between the promise that God gave and the son that He and Sarah gave birth to were 25 very long, frustrating and difficult years… at the back part of his life! He was 99 – when Sarah conceived! That’s a little old! (good as dead!) … So often times faith means waiting for God’s promises… and waiting… and waiting… and waiting…and waiting! And the question is can you have faith… that God is faithful?
He also 4) longed for! 13All these people (Abraham, Isaac, Jacob) were still living by faith when they died. They did not receive the things promised; they only saw them and welcomed them from a distance. And they admitted that they were aliens and strangers on earth. 14People who say such things show that they are looking for a country of their own. 15If they had been thinking of the country they had left, they would have had opportunity to return. 16Instead, they were longing for a better country—a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them. In other words what shaped Abraham and his family… were the fact that God had promised LAND… a great NATION… and through those… He’d bring a blessing to the entire earth! Here’s the problem… THEY SAW NONE OF THOSE before they died! And here’s the point… God is not bound to fulfilling all of His promises… in the lifetime of any individual!!! And THAT’S NOT MEAN TO DELFATE YOU… it’s MEANT BY GOD… TO RIASE THE STAKES of your FAITH! And so at their deaths… though the promises God gave them had not been fulfilled… they LOOKED AHEAD… saw the unseen… and LONGED FOR it… a promised homeland… a beautiful city… and an eternal relationship with God! THEY ALL… DIED… saying “THIS IS GOING TO HAPPEN! I’m may not be around when it does… BUT BELIEVE IT! It WILL happen!”
Probably the biggest sign of his faith is that he 5) was willing to stake the life of his son on God’s promises! 17By faith Abraham, when God tested him, offered Isaac as a sacrifice. He who had received the promises was about to sacrifice his one and only son (the son of the promise), 18even though God had said to him, “It is through (THIS SON!) Isaac that your offspring[b] will be reckoned.”[c] 19Abraham reasoned that God could raise the dead, and figuratively speaking, he did receive Isaac back from death. Most see this as a conflict between love for Isaac and devotion to God. But that’s not how Hebrews describes it. Hebrews portrays it as a conflict between two things God said! Let me explain. God said through ISAAC… would come all His promises! But God ALSO clearly said to Abraham… “Go KILL Isaac as a blood offering to me!” … … and Abe heard those two and thought… “Something’s gotta give here!”… apparently… … … Abraham weighed the two… and concluded… even death couldn’t stop the promise! So I’ll kill him… and He’ll have to raise him from the dead or something… WHATEVER it is it’s not on ME to figure it out… it’s on GOD! You know there’s a hint that that was what was going on in his mind in Genesis 22:5 it says, 5 He said to his servants, “Stay here with the donkey while I and the boy go over there. We will worship and then… (what?…) we will come back to you.” Faith trusts God… even when we don’t know what God is doing! It’s THE DEFINING MOMENT OF FAITH! Can I believe …God will accomplish His purposes… And will align my life with them, no matter what?
Now let’s go right from Abraham to Moses. Moses grew up as a descendant of the people of Israel, but as an Egyptian. 24By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be known as the son of Pharaoh’s daughter. 25He chose to be mistreated along with the people of God rather than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a short time. 26He regarded disgrace for the sake of Christ as of greater value than the treasures of Egypt, because he was looking ahead to his reward. (He looked ahead and saw the unseen) 27By faith he left Egypt, not fearing the king’s anger; (and so on…) When he was 40 he decided to identify with his birth people and not his adoptive royal family! That was at GREAT PERSONAL COST! He lost POWER… WEALTH… STATUS… he became a target of DISGRACE… PERSECUTION… and the REASON WAS… HE SAW AHEAD TO WHAT WAS UNSEEN! Verse 26 implies… he saw far enough ahead and saw Jesus Himself! He looked BACK to the promises way back in Genesis… and SAW them through to their end and thought… Pff! For these promises to take effect… These Jews… need to get OUT OF Egypt… STOP being slaves… go TO the Promised Land… flourish… and… eventually… the deliverer would come! … … … And HEBREWS SAYS… … … in faith from Moses’ perspective… the question you have to answer is… if I have to choose… Do I pursue my life and all of its pleasures… or do I risk identifying with God’s people and be used by God to bring about His plans and purposes? IF I HAVE TO CHOOSE… Do I choose… a pleasurable life… or a purposeful life? FAITH… ALWAYS… CHOOSES… the latter!
Okay, so… how will faith make a difference in my life? We’ll wrap it up here. Verses 32-35 tells us that 1) Faith will energize you to act for God. If you believe and have faith it’s going to CHANGE YOUR LIFE! 32And what more shall I say? I do not have time to tell (boy that’s true! Let me just say you really missed out if you didn’t get raised hearing Bible stories in Sunday School… but the following short list were the energized…) about Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, David, Samuel and the prophets, 33who through faith conquered kingdoms, administered justice, and gained what was promised; who shut the mouths of lions, 34quenched the fury of the flames, and escaped the edge of the sword; whose weakness was turned to strength; and who became powerful in battle and routed foreign armies. 35Women received back their dead, raised to life again. It’s an interesting list… it includes the mundane and the miraculous… the stuff people normally do… and the stuff nobody could do unless they were empowered by God. All of these… were energized by faith! What guided and motivated and inspired all of these people… what enabled these people to do what they did… was their faith! And all they did… was they saw the unseen… and simply acted consistently in light of it! They saw the invisible… and it allowed them to DO the impossible! Faith… ENERGIZED… these people! It will ENERGIZE you! And it will change your life. But here’s a warning… not everybody… saw a payoff…
2) Faith will enable you to endure trouble. Others were tortured and refused to be released, so that they might gain a better resurrection. 36Some faced jeers and flogging, while still others were chained and put in prison. 37They were stoned (Jeremiah)[f]; they were sawed in two (Isaiah); they were put to death by the sword. They went about in sheepskins and goatskins, destitute, persecuted and mistreated— 38the world was not worthy of them. They wandered in deserts and mountains, and in caves and holes in the ground. People, this just gives the lie to that notion that if you just have faith everything will turn out okay (Abel). It’s true enough if you look far enough ahead! But look at it in the close up view! Verse 35 says they were “tortured”. It’s a word from where we get “tympani drum” in an orchestra. It means to REPEATEDLY BEAT or POUND LIKE A DRUM. They were “PERSECUTED and MISTREATED”. It’s a phrase that describes feeling CRUSHED (literally SQUEEZED) and PRESSED DOWN on form every side! NO PLACE to go… NO RELEIF in sight… you are SQUEEZED and CRUSHED… and there’s no escape! And whomever these people are… it’s clear that their FAITH has given them ABSOLUTELY NO PAYOFF whatsoever… in fact it has TAKEN AWAY… everything from them! Worst of all… from the outsider’s point of view… They never saw PROMISE ONE… fulfilled in their lifetime… and they DIE with nothing.
This is what the cost of faith is… for millions of people on earth today! In Sudan… if you dare to see the unseen… and live consistently in light of it… If they have faith… it earns them a 3 day drive at gunpoint into the middle of the Sahara… they dump them off… kick their children out too… and drive off… and leave them! And they don’t die cursing God… they die believing God! …Because they have a clear picture… of the unseen. And it empowers them to bear up under the worst of pressure. Put your hand on your keychain… we go home! They can’t. If things go from bad… to worse… will you give up?
3) Faith will empower you to embrace God’s plan! 39These were all commended for their faith, yet none of them received what had been promised. 40God had planned something better for us so that only together with us would they be made perfect. God has a plan. And where am I in all of this? You’re at the end! Christ has come! The Kingdom awaits. The clock is ticking down. But the final end is still unseen! BUT WHAT IS STILL COMING… has been the PLAN OF GOD all along… WHAT ALL OF THESE PEOPLE we have read about… all who WAITED… all who SUFFERED… all who SACRIFICED… was to give you opportunity to respond to Him by placing YOUR FAITH IN Jesus… … … and HAVING BEEN COMPLETELY FORGIVEN… WE ARE TO LIVE BOLDLY BY FAITH and FOLLOW OUR LEADER… Jesus… to a coming Kingdom. That’s the PLAN! Are you in? Or will you give up?
Open up v.40… stare at it. I want you to stare at your own self… in the mirror of faith. I don’t want you to comprehend what faith means… I want you to see a reflection of you… BELIEVING! … … …HAVE FAITH! You see Him who is unseen! You look ahead to what’s coming. You believed Him in the past to deal with your sin… and you KNOW HE’S taking you somewhere! SEE Your faith causing you to suffer and enabling you to endure. Now DON’T JUST BELIEVE YOUR EYES! Exercise BOLD FAITH in what you CAN’T SEE but YOU KNOW is TRUE! YOU KNOW IT’S TRUE! YOU KNOW IT’S TRUE! … … … LIVE!!! LIVE IN LIGHT of what you CAN’T SEE… BUT YOU KNOW IS TRUE!
(Don’t deflect) y thinking, “Sure these people were the Biblical greats! Of course they were acting out in faith! They were spiritual supers! They were holy! They were SPECIAL! You don’t expect ME to be in the same league as THEM do you?” …You know among these great individuals… there’s a drunk who passed out naked on his bed… there was a guy who chickened out and called his wife his sister and let some other man take her… there was a womanizer with his head crammed up his nether-regions and he had a nasty temper (got him in a lot of trouble)… there was an adulterer who murdered to cover it up… NICE GROUP (probably fit really well in here with us). So don’t think for a minute that faith is something that only really well-adjusted, reasonably together spiritual people can exercise! FAITH IS FOR YOU AND ME! (I think I just insulted everybody!)
(Abel) 4By faith Abel offered God a better sacrifice than Cain did. By faith he was commended as a righteous man, when God spoke well of his offerings. And by faith he still speaks, even though he is dead. You probably know the story if you’ve been around the Christian block at all. Cain and Abel were brothers. Cain was the farmer. Abel was a shepherd. It doesn’t say WHY they brought Him a sacrifice… and we really don’t know why God accepted Abel’s and not Cain’s. Most people assume because of the foreshadowing of the need for BLOOD sacrifice… and Cain… sort of… FREELANCED… offering a sacrifice based on his own terms… he brought some cereal. Whatever the difference was… we’re not exactly sure… BUT WHAT WE DO KNOW… is that ONE SACRIFICE contained an ESSENTIAL INGREDIENT… FAITH… and the OTHER… was missing that response. And it’s interesting… Cain’s immediate response is consistent with his lack of faith. In jealousy… he murders his brother! “I’ll take care of this once and for all! Here! You want blood! I’ll give you blood!”
So the first person declared righteous by faith… is a guy who’s life is cut short by violence. So in this first snapshot… faith obviously doesn’t guarantee that things will go well for you. But apart from that what do we learn? 1) We learn that faith means approaching God on His terms. To respond to Him… on His terms… rather than to just make things up as we go and insist He deal with us on our terms.
(Enoch) 5By faith Enoch was taken from this life, so that he did not experience death; he could not be found, because God had taken him away. For before he was taken, he was commended as one who pleased God. Enoch is mentioned only a couple of times in the OT. Twice it says, “he walked with God.” In other words, his 2) faith opened the door to an intimate relationship with God, the likes of which one could only imagine! And God was so pleased with Enoch that he removed him! (not moved him or entered him into the witness protection program) God took him to heaven and bypassed death. “He just kind of translated him to heaven?” Yeah!
But Hebrews points out… that thing that so animated Enoch… that thing that God so liked that He said, “You know… here! I want you to just come with me.” Was not that he DID a whole lot. In fact, there’s nothing much at all we can read that he DID and say, “WOW! What Enoch did made him stand out far and above… made him COMPLETELY different than anybody else!” He built… He traveled… He led… He healed… No no no! It just says… he… he believed! He believed God!
And the next verse sheds light on the type of faith Enoch had! 6And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. I just tore that apart and put it into 3 sections so we could see it better. There’s a conviction. The conviction is, “I believe God exists!” And you have to ask yourself, “Do I really believe that?” “Do I believe that there is an unseen being, who created everything, who knows and understands everything, who is infinitely wise, who is powerful and sovereign, and holy and righteous, and loving and merciful?” DO I REALLY BELIEVE THAT? Is this something that just floats around in your head? Do you just believe that because you’ve been to church too many times in your life? OR DOES HE REALLY EXIST? IS HE REAL? That’s the conviction!
The next thing is there’s an assessment! Once you get past the conviction that there IS A GOD… if your assessment OF THAT GOD… is that He’s NOT GOOD… FAITH DEAD-ENDS right there! But if at the foundation of your conviction… THERE IS A GOD… is placed the idea that He’s also GOOD… He’s not capricious or mal-contented or pulling cosmic strings in the universe just for kicks… but that he’s actually… “A REWARDER”… Faith moves forward… and begins to take action
What does it say the person does? They say, “Okay, There is a God! He’s VERY GOOD! I’ll keep coming after Him!” “anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.” Faith says, He’s THERE… He’s GOOD… and so the action on your part is… you earnestly seek Him… (“earnestly” implies… you keep at it and you NEVER give up!). Jesus said, ASK… SEEK… and KNOCK… and to keep doing that! And NEVER STOP! And when you do that… it pleases God! We please God when we assure ourselves… in the awareness of His presence… and the assessment of His goodness… so much so that we keep coming after Him! That’s the great faith… Enoch displayed!
ARE… YOU… COMING AFTER HIM? If not… ask your self the question… at what point did the process of faith… break down for me? Do you struggle with the conviction… THAT HE’S REALLY THERE! If so… TAKE ACTION! For many faith breaks down not in believing that there IS A GOD… but because of PAIN AND SUFFERING… they can’t see through the fog that the God that IS THERE… is ANYTHING BUT GOOD! Do you struggle with believing… in spite of the pain… That the God that is there… REALL IS… ABSOLUTELY GOOD! If so… TAKE ACTION! Or maybe your faith doesn’t break down in wondering that there IS A GOD, or that He’s not GOOD… you believe BOTH THOSE THINGS… but maybe you fail to keep coming after Him! Maybe you thought believing His existence and assessing His goodness is a one time thing! It’s a fire insurance checklist. Once you have the exit procedures in place you just laminate it and post it in the hallway for emergency… and FAITH IN ACTION LAYS DEAD ON THE FLOOR OF YOUR LIFE… BECAUSE YOU FAIL TO KEEP COMING AFTER HIM! If so… TAKE ACTION!!!!
Your simple faith in God… actually pleases the Living God.
(Noah) Okay let’s look at Noah. 7By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, in holy fear built an ark to save his family. By his faith he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness that comes by faith. God warned Noah that he intended to judge the world with a flood. And He instructed Him to construct this ship to save himself and his family. And Noah, please understand, wasn’t acting on a hunch based on global warming. In fact, there was nothing observable to foreshadow the coming flood. He didn’t look around and say, “It’s going to start REALLY raining!” And I think that’s one reason why his contemporaries… mocked and ridiculed him so horribly! “Hey NOAH! What are you building there? Why a boat, way out here? There’s no lake nearby! OH! God SPOKE TO YOU??? HE is going to JUDGE THE WORLD??? Ooooh! We’re scared! What an idiot!”
For years and years… Noah suffered… and kept building… and kept explaining to anybody who asked… because he believed!
(Moses’ parents) 23By faith Moses’ parents hid him for three months after he was born, because they saw he was no ordinary child, and they were not afraid of the king’s edict. Pharaoh had enslaved Jewish descendants in Egypt. They had increased dramatically over 400 years and so he decreed the death of all Jewish male babies to counteract the surge! You can read it in Exodus 1. Moses’ parents decided to trust God and not let Moses die. And sometimes… in believing God… you disobey man. What it really comes down to is when everybody is saying you do THIS and if you don’t do this then, you know, you could get arrested… you could get fined… the world is saying do THIS… or else! Well, you DO what the world and what the authorities tell you to do… UNLESS they’re telling you to do something that God… forbids! Or they’re forbidding you to do something that God… commands! In which case you say, “Well, I don’t know! Should I obey… man? Or should I obey… God?” Moses’ parents obeyed… God!
(Moses walked away) He walked away from it all! He traded power… and glory… for the sounds of sheep bleating in the distance on the back side of some desert… AND HE DIDN’T GET TO SEE ANY OF THE PROMISES HAPPEN EITHER!!! But it says in v.27 he persevered because he saw him who is invisible. He saw the unseen. And believed! … … …do you in your sometimes longs and boring and mundane and even difficult seasons of life… … … persevere because you look far enough ahead… and see Jesus in it all? You know He’s there… Some of you kind of just… keep going! THAT’S AS FAITHFUL A THING AS YOU MIGHT EVER DO IN YOUR LIFE!!!! IT’S A THING FOR WHICH GOD… YOUR HEAVENLY FATHER… IS GREATLY PLEASED! Maybe simply your CONTINUING TO BELIEVE is the single most GREATEST DEMONSTRATIONS of FAITH IN YOUR LIFE… … that you don’t give up!
